Control Alt Delete Command For Mac

broken image

Command + Option + Escape is exactly the Control + Alt + Delete of the Mac. It performs the same task, as soon as you press all these keys together, it takes you to the Force Quit window on Mac similar to Windows. The Mac will shut close the application like the control alt delete mac command. If the shortcut fails to solve the issue, then you may have to shut down the Mac forcible and then restart it. For forcing the Mac down, press-hold the power button down for few seconds till the screen turns off. When I switched to the Mac, last year, I was also wondering how to close frozen programs on Mac. I felt so goofy that time, lol. Now I know 2 methods. Press Command+Option+Escape altogether. Press Cmd+Alt+Shift+Esc. Ctrl + Alt + Delete on Windows provides a variety of functions, the main one of interest being the Task Manager. Is there an equivalent keyboard shortcut & indeed Task Manager for carrying out such tasks as quitting an application that maybe 'hanging' (amongst other things) for Apple Macs, or indeed anything similar?

No doubt most people who've switched to Mac computers from the PC world are familiar with the CTRL + ALT + DEL command. It's used to bring up the task manager, and when pressed twice will reboot the computer.

However, on notebooks and some smaller MAC keyboards (like the wireless keyboard), there is no DEL key. For example, I have a macbook air without the DEL key. Apple says you should press FN-BACKSPACE is the same as DEL. So the combination would be: CTRL-ALT-FN-BACKSPACE. But that doesn't work. I even tried FN-CTRL-ALT-CMD-BACKSPACE without luck.
